Chris Gorney, President and General Contractor for Gorney Remodeling, is the man that started it all! Learning from his Uncle Rob at a young age, Chris has become an expert in home remodeling projects: big and small. Chris grew up in Arlington Heights, Illinois, working alongside his uncle. After graduating with his Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Chris decided that his true passion always was, and always will be, in home remodeling. This is how you know he has passion for the business and does an incredible job - he gave up a cushy career in finance for this physically hard, messy, and often times dangerous profession! (Not to mention all the money he spent on that finance degree...) He loves the satisfaction of seeing a person's dream come to fruition. He loves seeing what his hands can create in a home. Chris is a stickler for doing things right and he'll never cut corners. He reinforces EVERY corner. The greatest compliment Chris can receive for a job well done is a smile on the face of the homeowner and referrals in the future. No job is worth doing if it isn't going to be done right and Chris lives by that motto.

Cali is Chris' better half and the lead designer for the company. She keeps everyone in line and offers her opinion whenever needed, and even when you didn't think you needed it. Chris and Cali met at Northern Illinois University and it was a match made in heaven with their combined skillsets. In addition to her interior design services, Cali also loves to hunt for bargain pieces of furniture to restore, and designs new pieces for her clients. She is also commissioned to do watercolor and acrylic paintings. Namesake of the original company, Rob's Decorating, Rob is our second hardworking team member. If it wasn't for Uncle Rob, Chris may have never discovered his passion and talent for the trade. Rob is always there, working alongside Chris, day in and day out. He offers his sage advice when needed and helps to keep the projects moving along. Some of our longest running clients have been taken care of by Rob before Chris ever picked up a hammer. A team player and a people person, Rob helps to bring in business, new and old, and keeps our customers laughing during the stress of a remodel.

Graduating in 2007 with a degree in Horticulture, Ryan is our resident expert in all things plants. Ryan is a Palatine native and he's been Chris' best friend for over 15 years - making him an honorary Gorney. With his good looks, book smarts, passion for landscape design, and years of hands on experience at Palatine's very own Knupper's Nursery, you're sure to be impressed with his designs. Ryan is happy to help answer any question! Do you just need some tips on what will work best in that shady spot in your backyard or maybe you want to know which bushes will look best in front of your home? Ryan is your guy!
